Bio

Certified in both Georgia and Texas, I have been teaching for 20+ years. My certificate allows me to teach kindergarten through eighth grade, but I love working with younger students best. While at Bill Arp Elementary, I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. After a year of training, the gifted endorsement was added to my teaching certificate in 2013.  I am very excited to begin working with Bill Arp's gifted students this school year.

My husband serves as Minister of Education at a local church. We have two children who both participated in Program Challenge and both earned their IB diploma at Douglas County High School.  Our daughter leads the Graphic Design Department at a local business and our son is finishing up his last semester at Mercer University and is headed to Mercer University School of Medicine next fall. Our family enjoys church activities, mission trips, traveling, reading, cooking, and camping.
