Bio

Certified to teach in both Georgia and Texas, I have been educating students for over 21 years. My teaching certificate allows me to teach K - 8th grade, but I love working with younger students best.  While at Bill Arp Elementary I have taught kindergarten through 3rd grade. After adding the gifted endorsement to my teaching certificate in 2013, I am pleased to be working with Bill Arp's gifted students.

My husband serves as Minister of Education at a local church. He is responsible for LifeGroup and discipleship classes, adult ministry, mission trips, training volunteers, and supervising the upkeep of facilities. We have two adult children who both participated in Program Challenge and earned their IB diplomas at Douglas County High School. Our daughter earned her undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from Anderson University in 2014. She leads the vinyl production department at a local sign manufacturing company. She is currently working on a Master's degree in Computer Science through the University of West Georgia. Our son is a 2017 graduate of Mercer University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Biology.  He and his fiancee are currently studying at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah.  Our family enjoys mission trips, reading, cooking, camping, and visiting national parks.
