I have attended Mercer University with a Science/Early Education Degree and then went on to earn my Master's Degree at Central Michigan University.

It is hard to believe that this is my seventeenth year of teaching, ten of those have been at Bill Arp.  So far, I have taught kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade.  My passion for teaching is evident within the classroom as the children continue to learn and grow. I continue to participate in training that will enhance my student's learning.

I graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Early Childhood with an emphasis in Science in 1999.  I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Education.  I have taught at Eastside Elementary School, New Manchester Elementary and Bill Arp Elementary School.  I have served as Team Leader, Language Arts Chair, Social Studies Chair, and wrote several successful grants.  I was selected as New Manchester's Teacher of the Year 2003.  I became a teacher because I have a passion for teaching, a love for learning and a devotion for teaching children to love learning and become curious about the world they live in.

I have been married to my husband David for the past 40 years.  I have a 37 year old daughter who resides in Rome, Georgia with her husband who is the Dean of Music at Shorter University.  Also, I have a  seven year old grand daughter and a four year old grandson.  I have a son, Cody age 23 and another daughter, Amber age 21.  My family enjoys camping, traveling, and church activities.
