I graduated from Alexander High School in 2001. I attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA and graduated in May of 2005. I graduated with a Master's degree in Elementary Reading from Walden University in November of 2007.

Hi! My name is Ms. McGee and I am so excited to be your child’s fourth grade math teacher! The fourth grade team's theme is camping and it's going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. This is the first year your child will be changing classes in fourth grade, so I know that it will be different at first, but I know we can make the adjustment as smooth as possible. I will get to know about 112 children very well, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about myself.

I was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia. My older brother and parents both still live here in Douglasville. I attended Bill Arp Elementary, Fairplay Middle School and Alexander High School. When I graduated from high school I started my college career at Georgia College and State University where I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. During my first year teaching I decided to get my Master’s degree from Walden University.

I started my teaching career in Warner Robins, Georgia at Lake Joy Elementary. I taught the second grade for one year before I came back home to Douglasville and started teaching third grade at Bill Arp Elementary. I taught third grade for three years before moving down to second grade and now back up to fourth!

I have two small kids. Dallas is nine and in the fourth grade here at Bill Arp and Dane who begins Kindergarten this year. My boys are so much fun and they keep me busy all the time! I am happy that I get to see both of my boys here at school!

Again, I am so excited to be your child’s “Camp Counselor” and for them to be a part of "Camp McGee” at campsite 413. This is going to be a great year!
