Bill Arp Elementary For more than 150 years, children from the Bill Arp Community have attended Bill Arp School. The original Bill Arp School was located behind Prays Mill Church. In the early 1900's, Bill Arp School moved to Highway 5 and remained at that location until the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year. Bill Arp students now attend a spacious, two-story building located just before Alexander High School on Alexander Parkway. The new school is complete with the latest technology and serves approximately 850 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The Bill Arp mascot is a Patriot and the school colors are red, white and blue. Open House for the upcoming school year will be held on Thursday July 31, 2008 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Representatives of the PTO, Mentor Program, After School Program, Bill Arp Food Services and Douglas County Transportation will be available during the July open house. The first day of school for students will be Monday , August 4th. Students may arrive at school at 7:15am. Breakfast is served from 7:15am until 7:45am and the cost is $1.00. Student lunches cost $1.60. Bill Arp offers an affordable after school program.
